About this role

Boeing Ukraine LLC seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join the 787 team in Kyiv. This role develops, implements, and maintains manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define as-built configuration. Support business objectives through innovative manufacturing concepts and strategies.

Daily tasks include integrating suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet delivery requirements. Review supplier data for manufacturing compliance, investigate technical issues, and perform producibility assessments. Provide input to designs and processes to achieve cost and schedule goals.

Work within a collaborative environment, reviewing work statements and event sequencing for commitments. Draft and update processes for business and regulatory needs. Mentor team members and participate in Lean principles implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret Engineering documentation - Engineering drawings and Specifications
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and International standards (ASME Y14.5(2018), ASME Y14.5(2009))
  • English language level – intermediate or higher
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for defining delivery configurations for 787 airplane
  • Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues
  • Knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and maintains manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration
  • Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives
  • Develops and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements
  • Reviews supplier data to ensure manufacturing-related requirements are met
  • Investigates and resolves manufacturing technical related issues
  • Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs
  • Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules
  • Supports other team members as mentor/checker to meet engineering commitments
