About this role

The Boeing Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Production Engineering Organization seeks an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to support the B-1B Program. This position is 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA. You will develop, test, certify, and integrate production systems for efficient manufacturing processes.

Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies daily. Provide on-site engineering support by creating and issuing manufacturing plans for shop consumption. Conduct producibility and variation analyses to match process capability with requirements.

Work onsite coordinating with production personnel and stakeholders to foresee risks and prevent conflicts. Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible definitions. Resolve technical problems impacting performance, cost, or schedule.

Coordinate implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts. Validate production readiness of solutions to complex problems. This role offers relocation assistance in a drug-free workplace environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • This position requires US Citizenship
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements
  • Extensive background and experience in product design, fabrication, assembly, and structural testing within the aerospace industry
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Experience in CAD/CAM software and other relevant engineering tools
  • Ability to analyze complex manufacturing issues and provide innovative solutions

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies
  • Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs and maintain the program architecture for build
  • Provide on-site engineering support; create, coordinate, and issue manufacturing plans for shop consumption
  • Foresee and prevent potential conflicts and risks associated with successful completion of work tasks/jobs
  • Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability matches requirements
  • Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions
  • Resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule
  • Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems
