About this role
As Principal Systems Integration Engineer, support the Systems Engineering and Integration of the Tranche 3 constellation. This includes hundreds of satellites accomplishing multiple mission areas like missile warning, tracking, defense, and tactical communications to warfighters. Work with SDA, space vehicle contractors, and ground segment contractors to ensure architecture, requirements, implementation, integration, and testing succeed.
Serve as a key part of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) group, core of the T3PI team. Support integration and early testing of Space Vendor designs to meet system requirements amid technical and schedule constraints. Ensure segment-level specifications remain consistent with system-level requirements.
Evaluate End-to-End system threads and functional behaviors between space and ground elements. Participate in coordination and Working Group meetings to address shortfalls, gaps, risks, and required system waivers. Collaborate with space vehicle contractors to verify designs meet requirements and interfaces across segments.
Support MBSE Cameo Model capture and review of requirements, CONOPS, and interfaces between Space and Ground Segments. Assist with system-level risk assessments, functional analysis, schedule analysis, trade studies, and test planning. Contribute to fast-paced development programs in critical space systems for national security.
Requirements
- Developing and/or sustaining critical space systems for national security, preferably including space-to-ground integration
- Experience with systems engineering involving the integration of complex multi-element systems, preferably Space-based remote sensing or communication Systems
- Proficiency using MBSE tools to include Cameo Systems Modeler
- Excellent communication and teaming skills
- Experienced with fast-paced development programs in the space domain
