About this role
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join as a Manufacturing Engineer - Technical Lead. Act as a technical lead for a team of Manufacturing Engineers supporting the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Integrate all Manufacturing Engineering activities across the product lifecycle to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery requirements.
Work in tandem with the manufacturing team directly on the shop floor, devising, implementing, and testing new strategies to optimize productivity. Maintain a strong understanding of compliance while adhering to safety and quality standards. Report findings or proposals to senior management.

Requirements
- Technical leadership experience supporting Manufacturing Engineering Manager
- Expertise in integrating manufacturing activities across product lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and Zero Harm programmes
- Proficiency in product safety risk mitigation and safety issue resolution
- Ability to promote zero defects and zero waste cultures in manufacturing
- Familiarity with manufacturing process controls and FAIR processes
- Experience devising and implementing shop floor productivity strategies
- Understanding of compliance to safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards
Responsibilities
- Ensure manufacturing processes and methods comply with Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet Zero Harm programme expectations
- Understand and mitigate product safety risks, promote product safety culture, and rigorously raise, investigate, and resolve safety issues
- Promote a culture of zero defects and ensure processes support Right First Time manufacture with compliance to company, legislative, and technical policies
- Promote a culture of zero waste and design manufacturing processes to achieve highest quality at lowest possible cost
- Deploy mechanisms to govern achievement of Manufacturing Engineering deliverables, report status, and resolve issues to meet project timescales
- Support creation of Manufacturing Engineering load/capacity plans and budgets
- Ensure application of manufacturing process controls within area of accountability
- Act as FAIR signatory
