Boeing Global Services (BGS) Engineering delivers innovative technologies across the product lifecycle to strengthen safety and enable the future of aerospace. BGS Engineering seeks an experienced Systems Engineer (mid-level or experienced) for a Digital Transformation team. The team builds digital threads connecting engineering design data with product support and services.

In this role, architect, implement, and validate interfaces, data flows, and interoperability between enterprise PLM platforms and sustainment/logistics systems. Integrate PLM with sustainment solutions for fielded programs to support readiness and lifecycle cost reduction. Define systems-engineering requirements, data models, and integration patterns for end-to-end digital threads.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy integration solutions while ensuring data integrity across systems. Participate in design, delivery, and sustainment activities across all phases of the product lifecycle. Clearly communicate technical approaches, tradeoffs, and outcomes in written and verbal form.

Requirements

  • Experience with systems engineering integration of PLM and sustainment/logistics systems
  • Familiarity with sustainment analytics, readiness drivers, and lifecycle cost considerations
  • Strong technical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Experience architecting interfaces and data flows between PLM platforms and ILS tools, CMMS, MRO, spares management, or technical publications
  • Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and SysML
  • Ability to implement APIs, middleware, message buses, ETL processes, or SOA/REST solutions
  • Experience in requirements analysis, architecture, interface control, and verification

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with core team on system-of-systems engineering solutions for PLM-to-sustainment integration, including requirements analysis, architecture, interface control, and verification
  • Develop and document integration architectures, interface control documents, data mapping, and transformation rules for PLM and sustainment systems
  • Model designs to implement APIs, middleware, message buses, ETL processes, and/or SOA/REST solutions for reliable, secure data exchange
  • Support model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities and produce SysML artifacts to capture system behavior, interfaces, and traceability
  • Collaborate with program stakeholders to align data models and integration requirements
  • Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system requirements and assure compatibility of functional and program interfaces
  • Define and execute test plans for integration verification, data integrity, and performance
  • Assist sustainment planning by enabling digital twin/digital thread use cases including spares demand forecasting and predictive maintenance
