About this role
The Manufacturing Engineer works with operations and facilities teams to plan, manage, and support Capex projects within the campus. This role utilizes project management skills to coordinate projects meeting all internal and external requirements. Projects are executed on-time and on-budget in an international environment known for brilliance.
Daily responsibilities include developing work-scope specifications for capital projects, infrastructure changes, and equipment purchases. Collaborate cross-functionally with Rolls-Royce teams to ensure fulfillment of requirements. Research suppliers, manage project safety, cost, and timelines while providing technical support to manufacturing and maintenance staff.
Work with organizational groups to improve procedures and controls through planning and implementation. Prepare detailed layouts of buildings, assembly areas, and equipment. Review processes to preserve and improve employee safety, promoting a compliance culture aligned with the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
Design, source, test, and cost-justify tools, machinery, and equipment for manufacturing methods. Evaluate data, write reports on deviations from standards, and perform special projects as required. Requirements
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with the design of manufacturing processes and/or production facilities and infrastructure
- Excellent organization, planning, and follow-up skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with PC, MS Office Suite, and MS Project
- Practical experience using CAD software
- Experience with SAP
Responsibilities
