The role focuses on aerospace assembly, development, and production for UAS manufacturing lines.

You'll stand up and lead the commissioning and improvement of a new manufacturing line for UASs. Responsibilities include defining new processes, coordinating assembly and integration, and optimizing fixtures and tooling. You'll generate production documentation and implement FMEAs for process improvements.

Requirements

  • Established track record in UAS manufacturing and engineering
  • 4-year degree in Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Electromechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Ability to develop detailed work instructions and inspection criteria
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach
  • Experience in training others and leading cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and proficiency with CAD software and MS Office
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills

Responsibilities

  • Define new processes and ensure efficient integration of new products
  • Coordinate assembly and integration processes, ensuring quality and safety
  • Identify assembly needs for new products and optimize fixtures and tooling
  • Generate production documentation
  • Reduce variability in manufacturing with standard work methods
  • Liaise with other engineers to improve production and costs
  • Lead and support technicians and trainee engineers
  • Implement FMEAs and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
