About this role
As a Mid-Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Configuration Management, you will handle configuration management of aircraft in as-built condition for eVTOL airframes prototype manufacturing and assembly integration. You will manage change processes for manufacturing and engineering documentation while automating these processes. This role ensures compliance and accuracy in aircraft configurations.
Day-to-day tasks include developing a comprehensive understanding of aircraft configurations and data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to resolve discrepancies. Regular audits and documentation maintenance like engineering change orders and bills of material are key.
You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to communicate configuration processes clearly. Awareness of aircraft change processes like MOD Process, Change Requests, and EQNs provides an advantage. DMU understanding and navigation of product structure support aircraft build processes.
Utilize industry best practices to improve configuration management efficiency. Stay updated on trends and advancements in tools and techniques. Drive performance KPIs through excellent project and stakeholder management skills.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or related field
- 2+ years work experience in Configuration management or Technical publication in aerospace industry
- ERP & PLM proficiency
- CAD software knowledge (Preferably CATIA, NX, Solidworks)
- Configuration management expertise
- Knowledge of EBOM, MBOM, WBS
- Project Management skills
- Excel automation, Metrics Dashboard, Analytical skills
