About this role

In business unit Digital Battlespace Solutions, we digitalize defense forces and strengthen their success and security in military operations. Product Unit Coastal & Air Defence is a new unit delivering system solutions for coastal and air defence. We seek two present and action-oriented leaders to create direction and drive development.

As section manager, you handle competence supply and development of work methods within the section and across the business. These are new sections with employees working on various levels of system tasks for delivery projects. The teams will grow to 15-25 members by 2026, mainly in Arboga and Solna.

You join the product unit's leadership group with close collaboration to achieve common goals. Operations span Arboga, Järfälla, Solna, and Linköping, with some travel but primary focus on Arboga. Amid rapid growth, high focus remains on delivering commitments.

Requirements

Relevant post-secondary education, such as in engineering or systems science
Documented experience from a leading role in a technical environment, preferably military domain
Experience in organizations under growth and change, with complex assignments across multiple locations
Experience of Systems Engineering or understanding of Armed Forces operations and structure
Strong communication to create clarity, collaboration, and progress
Build culture of collaboration, respect, and enjoyment
Good planning ability and holistic view for efficient resource handling
Approval for security protection regulations; possible citizenship requirement

Responsibilities

Create direction and drive development for systems engineering sections
Provide employees with conditions to succeed in delivery projects
Manage competence supply and development of work methods internally and across the business
Lead team growth to 15-25 members per section by 2026
Collaborate closely with other managers and functions in the leadership group
Ensure delivery on commitments during high-growth phase
Oversee system work at various levels for coastal and air defence solutions
