At Near Earth Autonomy, we develop autonomous flight systems through partnerships with the world’s largest aerospace companies. The Systems Engineer contributes to aviation autonomy systems within the Systems Engineering Group. Embed within project and product teams to carry out development, integration, and test activities. Apply systems engineering practices to hardware and software coupled systems.

Work closely with project leads, internal stakeholders, software and hardware developers, and operators. Help refine systems processes and enact them across projects for advanced prototypes. Focus areas include design assurance, system definition, and safety assurance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field
  • 5+ years of industry experience participating in at least one complete project
  • Experience applying systems engineering practices to hardware and software coupled systems
  • Familiarity with design assurance including requirements traceability and test planning
  • Knowledge of system definition elements like architecture and interfaces
  • Background in safety assurance such as functional hazard analysis
