As a Principal Aerospace Systems Engineer based at RAF Lossiemouth, play a central part in delivering integrated systems engineering solutions that support Air Domain customers. Work in partnership with brilliant minds on cutting-edge technology.

Lead technical project delivery, guide engineering teams, and ensure systems engineering principles are applied effectively throughout the full lifecycle. Responsibilities include technical leadership, consistent application of methods and tools, and assuring high-quality integrated technical outputs. Capture customer requirements and shape technical solutions.

Operate from state-of-the-art facilities across the UK focused on defence, security, and technology innovation. Support military and civilian applications through research, testing, and development. Expect travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites alongside a minimum average of three days per week on site at RAF Lossiemouth.

Requirements

  • Strong background in air platforms and the air vehicle lifecycle
  • Experience applying systems engineering approaches such as DOORS, MBSE, V&V
  • Understanding of aerospace certification, governance and regulation
  • Ability to provide sound technical judgement on integrated engineering issues
  • Experience leading or contributing to engineering work packages
  • Knowledge of military and civil aerospace environments such as MOD customer and MOD Procurement process
