Blackwave GmbH

Taufkirchen, DE · Full-time · €75,000 – €95,000

About this role

Blackwave builds carbon structure components for rockets and satellites, aiming to make spaceflight as reliable and scalable as automotive. To end COPV failure in spaceflight, we need production that grows with us: process-safe, reproducible, and ramp-up ready. You become the Process Mastermind of our production.

Coordinate Production Engineering across teams, set priorities on open topics, and develop processes towards series maturity—scalable, robust, and ready for every ramp-up. Analyze manufacturing processes for scalability and robustness, maintain structured lists of open points, and implement 5S standards at workstations and in material handling.

Drive fixture and tooling improvements from conception to verification, and coordinate stakeholders for new machines ensuring performance meets requirements. In a startup spirit meeting aerospace, enjoy flat hierarchies, short decision paths, and real shaping space in a cross-functional environment.

Gain autonomy and design freedom to shape series production of aerospace components. Benefit from flexible hours, mobile work, fresh daily meals, alpine view terrace, and team events. Grow through exciting projects and direct expert collaboration.

Requirements

  • Space-to-Automotive mindset: Understand space industry sensitivity and translate into robust, series-capable processes
  • Lean & CI: Experienced in Kaizen, SMED, 5S and similar methods—know how to reduce throughput times and anchor improvement culture
  • Risk management: Recognize risks early, develop contingency plans, and keep ramp-ups on track
  • Root Cause Mastery: Proficient in 5-Why, Ishikawa, and FMEA—with consistent follow-through on corrective actions
  • Cross-functional: Translate shopfloor realities into clear inputs for planning, engineering, QA, and management
  • Change Agent: Lead teams safely through new technologies and processes—even in high-pressure environments
