About this role

OASYS, INC., a leading-edge government contractor, seeks a Principal Systems Integration Engineer to support Systems Engineering and Integration of the Tranche 3 constellation. This includes hundreds of satellites for missile warning, tracking, defense, and tactical communications to warfighters. You will collaborate with SDA, space vehicle contractors, and ground segment contractors for successful architecture, requirements, implementation, integration, and testing.

You will support integration and early testing of space vendor designs to meet system requirements amid technical and schedule constraints. Evaluate end-to-end system threads and functional behaviors between space and ground elements. Ensure segment-level specifications align with system-level requirements while supporting functional analysis, schedule analysis, and trade studies.

Work as a key part of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) group, the core of the T3PI team. Engage with space vehicle contractors to verify designs meet requirements and interfaces across segments. Participate in coordination and working group meetings to address shortfalls, gaps, risks, and system waivers.

Support MBSE Cameo model capture, review of requirements, CONOPS, and interfaces between space and ground segments. Conduct system-level risk assessments and assist with planning and execution of system-level tests. Evaluate segment-level test plans and execution in a fast-paced space domain program.

Requirements

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience; relevant experience substituted in lieu of degree
  • Developing and/or sustaining critical space systems for national security, preferably including space-to-ground integration
  • Experience with systems engineering involving the integration of complex multi-element systems, preferably Space-based remote sensing or communication Systems
  • Proficiency using MBSE tools to include Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Excellent communication and teaming skills
  • Experienced with fast-paced development programs in the space domain

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key part of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) group that forms the core of the T3PI team
  • Support integration and early testing of Space Vendor designs to meet system requirements considering technical and schedule constraints
