About this role

As an Avionics Engineer, you will handle systems definition for the Avionics Domain and development of Centralized and Recording Systems. This includes operational requirements analysis and avionics systems architecture definition. You will ensure consistency with regulations and program requirements throughout the lifecycle.

Day-to-day tasks involve specification of functional and equipment requirements for avionics systems. Generate and maintain design documentation like interface control documents, requirements documents, and test protocols. Perform equipment engineering tasks such as manufacturer monitoring and qualification monitoring.

Execute integration, validation, and verification tasks for avionics systems. Contribute to Safety and Security analysis, Certification, and Qualification processes. Provide support to services while identifying necessary development lifecycle activities.

Work closely sharing industrial and functional design views across Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and other disciplines from early design through serial production and in-service life. Understand organization, infrastructure, constraints of program industrial planning, and global systems interdependencies during industrialization.

Define checkpoints and reviews with maturity expectations aligned to program phases. Provide detailed data on system elements for implementation consistent with architecture models and allocated requirements. Thrive in a multicultural environment with upskilling opportunities.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in Engineering
  • Experience in Systems Engineering
  • Experience in Avionics
  • English advanced
  • Spanish will be valuable
  • Understanding of avionics systems architecture
  • Familiarity with requirements analysis and specification processes
  • Knowledge of integration and validation in avionics domain

Responsibilities

  • Perform operational requirements analysis and avionics systems architecture definition
  • Specify functional and equipment requirements for avionics systems
  • Generate and maintain design documentation (e.g. interface control documents, requirements documents, test protocols)
  • Conduct equipment engineering tasks (manufacturer monitoring, qualification monitoring)
  • Execute integration, validation and verification tasks of avionics systems
  • Contribute to Safety and Security analysis, Certification and Qualification processes
  • Identify activities of the development life cycle necessary to develop a system/product
  • Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases
