About this role
At Reflect Orbital, you will move fast, have a lot of ownership, and effect change. As an Avionics Engineer, you will have zero to one design ownership of electronic subsystems on our first spacecraft. You will design, build, test, and improve reliable space-ready components.
Own avionics system-level design and interfaces while making system-level trades. Prototype, design, bring up, and validate flight computers, communication systems, and electronics for power systems and ADCS. Establish best practices and tooling for electrical engineering design.
Develop in-house avionics test infrastructure including flatsat, GPS sim, power sim, and comms sim. Design and execute avionics qualification testing for vibration, shock, thermal, and thermal vacuum environments. Own your hardware into flight operation with high autonomy.
Succeed in a highly constrained trade space by iterating on requirements and architecture. Ideal candidates have strong experience working on spacecraft, even from unusual backgrounds. Reflect carves out unique roles for exceptional, unconventional people.
