About this role

Do you want to work with embedded systems and aviation-related technology solutions? We are seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to strengthen our systems design team. You will participate in defining embedded systems and hardware solutions, architecture design, and system safety aspects within a multidisciplinary project team.

Work occurs remotely and on-site at Sarankulma campus, varying by project phase such as design, integration, and testing. Occasional domestic travel and periodic international trips are part of the role. This setup supports flexible contributions across development stages.

Join a multidisciplinary development team focused on technical solutions and system-level decisions. Collaborate with HW, SW, mechanics designers, and project managers on aviation projects. Emphasis lies on systems design, safety considerations, and requirements management.

Engage in diverse embedded systems and aviation projects within a skilled, collaboration-based team. Contribute to concept design, requirements definition, and testing coordination. Advance expertise in regulated environments through hands-on system architecture and safety analyses.

Requirements

Suitable AMK or DI degree in electrical engineering, electronics, embedded systems or equivalent
A few years of experience in electronics or embedded systems development
Experience in systems design, technical specification work, or architecture design
Understanding of embedded systems and sensor/interface solutions
Ability to grasp system-level entities
Experience in technical documentation
Fluent collaboration and communication skills
Finnish language proficiency and ability to use and produce English technical material

Responsibilities

Participate in concept design of systems and hardware
Define system-level functional and safety-related requirements
Prepare system specification and design documentation
Design and define system architecture
Coordinate testing and approval of prototypes and first articles, including documentation
Participate in producing system safety analyses and documentation
Support system integration testing
Collaborate with project managers and various design disciplines
