About this role
E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things solutions via a highly-advanced low Earth orbit space system. The Avionics Engineering Lead oversees development, test, and delivery of electronic hardware and FPGA firmware for satellites. This role reports to the Director of Electrical Engineering and manages Electrical and FPGA engineers.
Lead day-to-day execution of engineering work by 8+ engineers through development, test, and delivery of products. Plan and track tasks while communicating status upward. Ensure department standards and best practices deliver high-quality products meeting requirements.
Provide tools and resources for the team in the Saratoga office. Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, and surge efforts. We're intentional, unapologetically curious, and committed to innovate space-based communications.
Help teammates develop skills and careers aligned with interests and company needs. Perform performance evaluations and regular one-on-ones. Refine standards based on lessons learned to expand global economies and protect our planet.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Electrical Engineering management experience of teams of 6+
- 10+ years of experience in new electronics product development, test, and flight in aerospace applications
- Expertise in power, digital, and analog circuit design, simulation, analysis, and testing
- Expertise in high reliability electronics and FPGA development and test practices

- Perform performance evaluations for reporting teammates as well as regular one-on-ones
Benefits
- Target base pay of $150,000 - $220,000 annually
- Total compensation package determined by relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
- Full-time, exempt position
