About this role

Toyon seeks a highly motivated Aerospace Engineer with a strong background in systems analysis and aerospace engineering concepts. The role centers on planning and modeling advanced aerospace systems with emphasis on performance analysis, aerodynamic modeling, and system effectiveness studies. U.S. citizenship and qualification for a Department of Defense Top Secret clearance are required for this in-person position.

Individuals develop and apply existing analytical tools to support analyses for a wide customer base. Typical projects involve formulation of the analysis problem, model development, analysis execution, and presentation of results. Proficiency in MATLAB or Python and a deep understanding of flight dynamics and aerodynamics are essential for success.

The position requires the ability to plan and manage resources to accomplish technical tasks while working with applied probability and statistics. Candidates contribute to studies that inform decisions across multiple aerospace programs and customer needs. Work centers on rigorous technical execution and clear communication of findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or math
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Python programming languages
  • Understanding of applied probability and statistics
  • Deep understanding of flight dynamics
  • Deep understanding of aerodynamics
  • Ability to plan and manage resources to accomplish technical tasks

Responsibilities
