About this role

The Gas Turbine Performance Principal Engineer serves as a recognized subject matter expert, providing advanced technical leadership to the Engineering team. This role drives engineering excellence, supports mid-level complexity projects, and mentors next generation engineers. It collaborates cross-functionally to manage risks and foster innovative solutions for business and customer needs.

Lead end-to-end design, analysis, and implementation of engineering solutions for moderate-to-high complexity projects. Own crucial projects for the Performance Design & Methods team success. Act as a technical resource, offering global guidance to project teams and stakeholders in Gas Turbine Performance.

Review and approve engineering documentation to ensure compliance with standards. Serve as the authoritative technical contact across the business, including suppliers and field support. Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and drive system-level problem resolution.

Mentor and coach engineers while facilitating knowledge sharing. Shape Gas Turbine Performance team culture to promote inclusion, psychological safety, and high performance. Drive innovation, process improvements via Lean and AI, and stay current with industry trends through conferences and academia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related science discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a related technical, scientific, or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver results
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Significant technical authority within Gas Turbine Performance domain
  • Experience supporting mid-level complexity projects in gas turbine engineering

Responsibilities
