About this role

Work within a Guidance Systems team performing analysis, design, implementation, and test activities for Navy strategic system development. Support on-going Internal Research & Development (IRAD) activities in inertial guidance. Tasks relate to Advanced Guidance Lab (AGL) including guidance concepts, technologies, Position Navigation & Timing (PNT) tools, and lab infrastructure.

Conduct Systems Engineering with requirements analysis, system design, and test. Demonstrate experience with Guidance Navigation & Controls, inertial sensors, MATLAB, and engineering systems. Apply familiarity with Navy's legacy Guidance Systems and cybersecurity practices.

Perform assignments under minimal supervision while supporting frequent communications within and across Integrated Product Teams. Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills. Operate in basic laboratory environments with electronics and electrical systems knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience with Guidance Navigation & Controls, inertial sensors, MATLAB, and engineering systems
  • Systems Engineering experience with requirements analysis, system design, and test
  • Experience/familiarity with Navy's legacy Guidance Systems
  • Cybersecurity experience
  • Experience with DOORs and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Knowledge and understanding of electronics and electrical systems
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance obtainable within reasonable time after hire
  • U.S. citizenship required
