About this role

The Gas Turbine Performance Principal Engineer serves as a recognized subject matter expert and provides advanced technical leadership to the Engineering team. This role drives engineering excellence, supports mid-level complexity projects, and mentors next generation engineers. Collaborates cross-functionally to drive risk management while fostering innovative solutions to meet business and customer needs.

Leads end-to-end design, analysis, and implementation of engineering solutions for moderate-to-high complexity projects. Owns crucial projects for the success of the Performance Design & Methods team. Acts as a technical resource in Gas Turbine Performance, providing global guidance to project teams and stakeholders.

Serves as a single point authoritative technical contact throughout the business, including suppliers, sub-suppliers, and field support. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and drive problem resolution across disciplines. Reviews and approves engineering documentation to ensure compliance with standards.

Drives innovation by staying current with technologies, regulations, and industry trends through conferences and academia interfaces. Mentors and coaches next generation engineers, facilitates knowledge sharing, and shapes Gas Turbine Performance team culture promoting inclusion and high performance. Identifies process improvements through Lean and Artificial Intelligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related science discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a related technical, scientific, or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver results
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in Gas Turbine Performance analysis and methods
  • Experience holding significant technical authority and setting standards in engineering domain
  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and risk management in complex projects

Responsibilities
