Perform tasks related to development, testing, certification, production, and in-service support of Avionics Systems for state-of-the-art business aircraft. Define and manage systems and subsystems requirements to meet safety, certification, and aircraft design objectives. Work with system suppliers and interfacing disciplines for smooth aircraft integration.
Ensure timely integration of systems like AFCS, Communication (VHF, HF, SATCOM, Datalink), Navigation (ADF, VOR, ILS, DME, TCAS), and Displays (EFIS, EICAS, HUD, SVS). Conduct or witness development and certification tests on aircraft or rigs, reviewing and approving results. Support ARP4754 verifications, manage supplier deliverables, and liaise with Certifying Authorities.
Support Final Assembly Line and in-service aircraft for design issues. Participate in developing tools, processes, and software for crew alerting logic, synoptics pages, I/O configuration in IMA environments, and aircraft-level automation. Requirements
- Hold a university degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Have strong knowledge of Avionics Systems
- Understand how these systems integrate and interact with the overall aircraft
- Have knowledge and/or experience in Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems
- Have knowledge with the specification, design, integration, test, and certification of Avionics systems on aircraft
Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks related to the development, testing, certification, production, and in-service support of Avionics Systems of state-of-the-art business aircraft
- Define and manage the overall systems and subsystems requirements to ensure safety, certification and aircraft design requirements and objectives are met
- Work with system suppliers and other interfacing suppliers and disciplines to ensure the system is properly designed for aircraft integration
- Ensure the timely integration of systems such as AFCS, Communication (VHF, HF, SATCOM, Datalink), Navigation, Displays, Information/Maintenance & Recording, and Cabin connectivity
- Write, conduct or witness development and certification tests on the aircraft and/or on rigs
- Review, analyze and approve test results
- Conduct and support ARP4754 system and aircraft verification and validations
- Manage, review and approve deliverables of Avionics System Suppliers and liaise with Certifying Authorities for certification
