As Avionics Certification Engineer (DO-178C/DO-254), you will work within the Products & Systems Engineering practice on Aerospace & Defence projects in the Continuing Airworthiness discipline. You will be a key element in conducting airworthiness assessments and certifications on avionics systems (HW/SW). This role involves evaluating certification plans, participating in audits, and analyzing requirements from a DAL A/B/C perspective.

Your work focuses on identifying potential safety risks and developing mitigation strategies in compliance with DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, ARP4761, PART 21, CAMO, and Part 145. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or related fields
  • Knowledge of DO-178C
  • Knowledge of DO-254
  • Knowledge of ARP4754A
  • Knowledge of ARP4761
  • Experience in technical audits, review of deliverables or HW/SW certification activities
  • Basic knowledge of safety-critical systems concepts, test & verification, coverage and development processes

Responsibilities

  • Conduct airworthiness assessments and certifications on avionics systems (HW/SW) according to DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, ARP4761, and compliance with PART 21, CAMO, and Part 145
  • Evaluate certification plans and participate in audits
  • Analyze requirements, architectures, tests, and traceability from DAL (Design Assurance Level) A/B/C perspective
  • Identify potential safety risks and develop risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions
  • Review certification deliverables for HW/SW compliance
  • Verify traceability and coverage in safety-critical development processes
